Food was some of the worst hibachi I’ve had. Asked for medium rare steak it came out well done. The fried rice well, it wasn’t fried. And if it wasn’t fried rice I would love to know what it was cuz it wasn’t white. Vegetables were soggy and unseasoned. One person in my party got mostly zucchini while the other got mostly onions. Yum yum sauce wasn’t yum at all, not sure what it was.

I love this place! I come here at least once a week. They're quick too. I'm able to sit down, order, eat, and pay in time to make it back from my 1 hour lunch break. I usually get the Hibachi lunch. Great price and big portions.

I ordered lunch takeout over the phone. Arrived and went inside to pick it up and experienced a female employee at the host/pickup stand who wasn’t very friendly. I believe she helped me a few months ago and had the same unpleasant demeanor with me when I picked up an order. It seems like she is annoyed that I am picking up an order. I was going to leave a small tip regardless, but she skipped past that option on the credit card machine once I handed her my card. It’s sad that she is like this because the food was tasty and the order was accurate and neatly prepared and packaged per usual.

Hands down the best hibachi I’ve had. I’m usually a Benihana girlie but this by far rank higher. The rice was so good and the sauce wow… This is the first time I did not care for yum yum sauce! Happy I stopped here 😊 Atmosphere was okay. Kind of calm but it was a week night. I had the guava Paloma. Might have been light on the alcohol but flavor was good. Service was okay as well. I did not realize we had to press a button to get served, otherwise everything went smoothly.

Izumi in Boardman is worth the drive from Sharon or New Castle PA, because it is that much better than the alternatives available in either Sharon or New Castle, PA. I have lived around Izumi Japanese on 224 in Boardman for years, but I never went. I really don't know why, I just didn't go. That was a HUGE error on my part. Izumi Japanese was as good as any other Japanese restaurant around here, and better than 95% of ALL restaurants around here, based on customer service alone. I loved the food. See? Look at my pictures of food! All delicious! But I CANNOT show you pictures of the great service the waitress provided my wife and I. I have no problem just saying, if you don't know Japanese food, come to Izumi for lunch. The prices are VERY good here, and the food is all great. And the wait staff will be more than happy to take their time and talk to you about the food. Which, again, is sooo goood! I love going somewhere, and discovering that maybe, I should have been eating here all along. I cannot say, in strong enough words, exactly how impressed I was with the food and the service at Izumi. As good as that service was, I know that they treat EVERYONE this well. Eat. At.
